Ustrzyki Górne is a village located by Wołosaty stream, inhabited by only about 80 people. Ustrzyki Górne is the seat of the Bieszczady National Park Head Office and one of better starting points to the mountain pastures, because a few trails cross in this locality. Walking from the car park located in the center of Ustrzyki Górne, next to the PTTK "Kremenaros" mountain shelter, one can reach the red trail to Połonina Caryńska. Going the opposite direction, using the red trail, we can reach Szeroki Wierch and Tarnica. The blue trail leads to Rawka or to Wołosate or Bukowe Berdo.

In front of the crossroad to Wołosate there is a big parking lot and a ticket office where one can buy tickets, allowing to enter the trail in the National Park. Nearby the parking lot is also a characteristic building – this is a watchtower of the Bieszczady Border Guard Unit, in which the main scenes for the TV series "Wataha" were shot.

The car park also there are roofed sheds, benches, tables, litter bins and toilets. From here, just a few hundred meters away are grocery stores, restaurants and bars, and a bus stop.
